It's in her aire

(images via carolinesmode/fashiongirl, karlascloset, intothegloss)
I'm finding these girls aires of confidence and laid back sense of style very inspiring lately. You have to understand I'm a girl deeply infatuated with fashion and the art of expressing ones self through their appearance. But I am a looker on of sorts, I dress like a tomboy most of the time, which you probably could guess from 2 of the 3 photos provided above. I've always been this way. I've tried to dress more girly, more trendy but it feels like a costume to me. I'm not that girl that gets up two hours early to do her hair and make up. So on this blog you will definitely see that side of my, but I also want to share things I would dare not wear myself but fashions that have inspired me from the wearer's artistic spirit. I'm all about the art of expression, though I believe i have strayed away from my original topic. So lets get back on track shall we. I'm so envious of girls who can just wear a t-shirt and jean and exude not exactly sex appeal but confidence. It's something I'm trying to learn myself. I don't know if it is something you could learn or you have to be born with. But I'll leave that for you to ponder.
As for the shoes in the middle, I got this photo from one of my favorite fashion blogs, karla's closet. She has such an amazing sense of style, and beautiful shoes as you can see. I unfortunately can only enjoy the photos of such amazing shoes, because I am a self diagnosed clutz. So when I try and wear heels, I look like a baby giraffe trying to walk for the first time. Plus, I'm sorry, I'm just not putting up with the pain. Any whoot I hope you enjoy her amazing shoes and the quirky blue nail polish in the last two photos (another one of my favorite colors).

POP

As you'll soon come to find out, I am in love with the crisp and fresh feeling that whites bring to a room. It's a color unlike any color. It's the only color that can not be overdone, or be to over powering, but it needs to have balance. If not done right, white can become very stark and cold. Although in the images above I love how the pops of color make great statements among the neutrals in the rooms. Color is the element that brings these white rooms warmth and that is what I truly love them.

lately

Since the summer months have ensued, I've found myself enjoying the small pleasures in life. Its strange going from one extreme to the next. I've had all this work to do and now.. nothing. It's been nice though, I've been catching up on my reading, which I'm going to start listing titles as I start them (just incase your in the need for a good read!) and started to keep my toenails painted. Just fyi that never happens during school. I'm not your average nail enthusiast. While I see seas of pink and red toes, I just can't bring myself to conform to these overdone colors. I don't know why I have this strange tendency to cringe from any popularized trend, but I do all the same. So as of lately I've been wearing the shade on the left, although in the past I've worn darker shades of navies and blacks. Maybe it's my small rebellion to our popularized culture today but in a rainbow of conformity I'm happily the odd one out.
